Nexus interactive secures $2 million in funding to advance Web3 gaming industry

Nexus Interactive has successfully raised $2 million in an oversubscribed initial funding round, marking a significant step in expanding their Web3 gaming business.

The funds will be used to develop new gaming projects and further enhance the existing Nexus Interactive ecosystem, which has already demonstrated high community engagement and profitability.

Key investors in this round include Animoca Brands, Jump Crypto, Maven Capital, and others.

What is Nexus Interactive?

Nexus Interactive is a company focused on the development and publishing of Web3 games, as well as creating content for the gaming community.

The company's ecosystem comprises three key elements: Nexus Play — an internal game development division; Nexus Build — a platform for publishing third-party Web3 games; and Nexus Share — an AI platform for creating user-generated content and supporting the community.

Nexus Interactive's team has experience in creating successful games such as Splinterlands and Gods Unchained, which have generated significant revenue and attracted millions of users to Web3 games.

With over 100,000 participants and revenue of around $2 million, Nexus Interactive has established a prominent position in the growing Web3 gaming industry.

Future Plans

The company’s new game, the 3D card game Everdawn Champions, has become the most popular on the Elixir platform during closed beta testing. Open beta testing is scheduled for September 2024, and there is already a large waiting list of players.

“Existing gaming platforms create barriers for developers striving for successful game launches and effective monetization models. Nexus Interactive offers an ideal solution to this problem,” said Liam Bacon, the company’s founder. “We’ve walked this path ourselves over the past three years, building a studio for Web3, and we can offer significant assistance to other developers looking to enter Web3.”

In addition to expanding its gaming portfolio, Nexus Interactive is preparing to launch its own token, $NXI, which will serve as a utility and governance element within their ecosystem. This token will be crucial for coordinating actions and interactions within the Nexus Interactive platform.

“We are excited to support Nexus Interactive in creating a scalable ecosystem for users, developers, and creators,” added Yat Siu, co-founder and executive chairman of Animoca Brands.
